Explore clock changesConvert a time for the date you need
Add the places you want to compare, then enter the date and local time in the first city. Each row shows the same moment elsewhere. Choose a city such as New York for local time with seasonal clock changes; choose EST only when you mean a fixed UTC−5 offset.
Read the date as well as the clock. At 20:00 in New York on 15 January 2026, it is already 10:00 on 16 January in Tokyo. A +1 day label means the destination is on the following calendar date. See worked conversion examples or read why conversions change the date.
Questions about time conversion
Why does the time difference change during the year?
Cities can change their clocks on different weekends, or keep the same offset all year. London is usually five hours ahead of New York, but the gap narrows to four during parts of March and late October. The 2026 US–UK guide shows exactly which dates affect a 09:00 New York meeting.
Can I compare more than two locations?
Compare up to 12 locations. For a call, the meeting planner checks whether the full meeting fits within shared working hours. Personal availability and public holidays still need to be checked with participants.
How do I share the selected time?
Use “Share this time” to copy a link containing the selected cities and exact moment. “Add to calendar” exports one event. For a weekly call, keep the organizer’s city time zone in the calendar and review future dates around clock changes.
What if I have a timestamp instead of a city time?
The Unix time converter reads seconds or milliseconds and shows the corresponding UTC date. The time zone directory helps you identify the city zone to use when converting that moment to local time.
